I admire the spirit and feistiness of red squirrels. I have seen one red squirrel chase off three or four gray squirrels, even though they’re about the half the size. Apparently, red squirrels don’t hibernate, but I don’t see them at the feeders during the winter, while the gray squirrels are frequent visitors.
