Fishers are beautiful animals that have a viscious (undeserved) reputation. They primarily prey on small animals, though they also eat porcupines, which is impressive. Some people think they prey on cats and small dogs, but this seems to happen rarely. My game cam has captured a few nighttime videos (below). I did see one running along a downed tree trunk in the woods behind our house one day.
