This might seem odd, but these caterpillars have always been one of my favorite animals. As a kid, I loved holding them and watching them crawl all over my hand. They’re unbelievably soft. And just look at the colors! Hopefully at some point I’ll get a picture of the moth of this species, but it’s not nearly as interesting as the larva.
