Brown Millipede

These have always been some of my favorite bugs. If you pick one up (they’re harmless), it may curl up in a tight ball. Wait a few seconds, and it will uncurl and start to crawl along your hand. I love looking at at all of their legs moving at once. These are beneficial bugs to have in the yard/garden, as they help decompose organic matter into natural compost.
