This relatively large spider (for New Hampshire) is fascinating. Females lay eggs in a large sac and carries it around. When the eggs are about to hatch, females create a nursery by spinning silk around leaves (see picture below). The young spend some time (until they molt for the first time) in the nursery with the female staying nearby for protection. Males avoid being eaten after mating by spinning silk around females’ legs before copulation. Yikes.
