Gray foxes are a bit smaller and stockier than red foxes. They also have a dark stripe down their back and a black tip (instead of a white one) on their tails. While I’ve seen red foxes during the day in our yard and in the woods behind our yard, I’ve only seen gray foxes through our game cam.
