These beautiful little flycatchers are one of my favorite birds. They zip like fighter jets from branches and then hover like hummingbirds as they swoop to catch bugs. For several years, we’ve had a pair build a nest under our deck. It’s amazing to watch the young grow quickly and fledge. The parents will sit on branches nearby as I walk under their nest going in and out of the basement. Their tails often bob up and down as they perch.
